Attempt to initiate a Transfer between two Synthetic Accounts. Before the Transfer will be initiated, several checks will be performed to ensure there is sufficient balance in the source account and that the initiating Customer has all the necessary access to both Synthetic Accounts. Depending on the Synthetic Account Types involved and the Program configuration, a new Transfer could complete instantly or take as many as 6 business days.
Note that master asset Synthetic Accounts cannot be used for Transfers. The Synthetic Accounts allowed in a Transfer request are:
- between two liability Synthetic Accounts in the
general
or thetarget_yield_account
category - between a liability Synthetic Account in the
general
or thetarget_yield_account
category and a Synthetic Account in theexternal
/plaid_external
/mx_external
category - from a liability Synthetic Account in the
general
or thetarget_yield_account
category to a Synthetic Account in theoutbound_ach
category
Secondary customer accounts cannot be used for transfers.
Note: Even when KYC status is 'identity_verified', the checking product status needs to be 'active' in order for the synthetic account to be used. An MQ event is sent to the Customer topic upon successful activation. Please see here: Customer Statuses and Services
