If a transaction status = denied_authorization, Rize will populate the field decline_reason.
| decline_reason | Description |
|---|---|
insufficient_funds | The cardholder has insufficient funds for the transaction. |
insufficient_funds_gas | An authorization request was denied because of insufficient funds and the transaction was initiated at a gas pump. |
inactive_card | The card is not activated or the card is locked. |
invalid_pin | The PIN entered does not match the PIN set for the card. |
other | A generic categorization for denied authorizations that do not fall into the other denial_reasons. |
network_unavailable | The debit card transaction was denied to a network issue. This denial_reason will occur very rarely. |
